Poster Contest Application
We are accepting applications for the Poster Design for the 12th Annual Knox Asian Festival. The winning poster will be on t-shirts and posters all over town! Each Artist who submits the poster will receive an official T-shirt. (Please include your t-shirts size in the application)
How to Enter
Beginning March 15th, fill out the form on this page, or send your wholly original artwork (300 dpi PNG file or PDF file of your submission) to [email protected]
- Entry must include contact information consisting of your name, email address, phone number, & mailing address. Please also include your t-shirt size.
- The Asian Culture Center of TN will reserve all rights to use winning posters.
- Winners will need to add sponsor logos to the posters.
- Submission must be created in its entirety to the entrant and cannot be generated, in whole or in part, by Artificial Intelligence.

“United in Peace and Love: Welcoming Communities”
CONTEST DESCRIPTION
Celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Knox Asian Festival by designing a vibrant and colorful poster that embodies the spirit of peace, love, and unity. We are looking for artwork that reflects welcoming communities coming together to promote harmony and cultural understanding.
The 2025 Knox Asian Festival will be especially exciting as we welcome Sumo wrestlers from Japan to join our celebration! We encourage artists to creatively incorporate these themes in their designs.
DESIGN GUIDELINES
- Incorporate Sumo Wrestlers: Include imagery or symbols representing sumo wrestlers, reflecting their cultural significance and our special guests for the 2025 festival.
- Peace and Love Symbols: Use elements like doves, lotus flowers, hearts, or traditional Asian motifs to convey messages of peace and love.
- Community Unity: Depict diverse groups of people gathering and celebrating together, with artistic elements like waves, cherry blossoms, or abstract cultural patterns connecting them.
- Colorful Imagery: Bright, dynamic colors that reflect joy, diversity, and celebration.
