Volunteer Application

The individual/Group participating in Knox Asian Festival 2022 or Japanese New year celebration or any other Asian Culture Center of TN's events as volunteer, performer, vender hereafter referred to as "Participant" hereby freely, voluntarily, and without duress executes this Release under the following terms: Medical Treatment: Participant does hereby release and forever discharge Knox Asian festival from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with the Participant's Activities with Asian Culture Center of TN.

Assumption of the Risk: The Participant understands that the before listed event is a potentially hazardous activity and I attend it out of my own free will and choice. I realize that this activity requires physical conditioning and I represent that I am in sound medical condition capable of participating in the contest without risks to others or myself. I have no medical impediment, which would endanger others or me. Participant hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of injury or harm in the Activities and releases Knox Asian Festival from all liability for injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from the Activities.

Insurance: The Participant understands that, except as otherwise agreed to by Asian Culture Center of TN in writing, Asian Culture Center of TN does not carry or maintain health, medical, or disability insurance for any Participant.

Photographic Release: Participant does hereby grant and convey unto Asian Culture Center of TN all rights, title, and Interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Knox Asian Festival during the Participant's Activities with Knox Asian Festival, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or Other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.

Other: Participant expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Tennessee and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee. Participant agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this release, which shall continue to be enforceable.

Release and Waiver: Knowing these facts and in consideration of my entry acceptance, admission to and/or participation in the Asian Culture Center of TN's events, Participant does hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless Asian Culture Center of TN and it successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arising out of or relating in any respect to my attending or participating in the Asian Culture Center of TN events.

Participant understands that this Release discharges Asian Culture Center of TN from any liability or claim that the Participant may have against Asian Culture Center of TN with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from the Participant's Activities with Asian Culture Center of TN events, whether causes by the negligence of Asian Culture Center of TN or its officers, directors, employees, or agents or otherwise. Participants also understand that Asian Culture Center of TN does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance.
