After a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 9th Annual Knoxville Asian Festival came back strong in August 2022, with over 60,000+ estimated attendance. As The Daily Beacon reported: “There will be over 100 tents and booths at the festival, offering tasty food, crafts, and cultural exhibitions. This is the largest number of participants the festival has seen, and it had to implement a waiting list after reaching maximum capacity for the festival space” (Knox Asian Festival Returns Aug. 28 With Largest-Ever Celebration).

People Attended the Festival

From WATE: “The festival features authentic food vendors representing Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Korea, China, Japan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistani, and Vietnam. There is also a passport program where children and their families can “travel” to 13 counties and learn about their cultures while getting stamps.” (Knoxville Festival Celebrating Asian Culture Returns)

Festival Booths

The 9th Knox Asian Festival was very successful. We had the biggest crowd in 9 years. Thank you so much to all the kids and people who came, Sponsors, Vendors, Performers, Cultural Groups, Volunteers, World’s Fair Park Crews, and the City of Knoxville. We loved to see smiling faces all over the Park.

Thank you so much for coming. We really appreciate you all!
